This ongoing project is born out of a reverence for the colourful pieces of earth that guide me as an artist. Once all a unified mass, but now separated by space and time, earths from different parts of the world slowly come together on a 4 by 4 foot repurposed canvas. Rock samples that give colour are collected by myself during my travels or are sent to me from people all over the world. A donation is subsequently made to a climate change organization of the donor’s choice. The piece hopes to invoke a sense of global community - that coming together physically, metaphorically, and virtually can address a crisis.
